What's a good course to learn other instruments?

Owen

Question

Hello internet people, I wanted to know if anyone knows of a good course to learn other instruments, or a course that teaches general theory to learn for other instruments. I am a breakthrough guitar member and I have thought the courses have been great. But my first instrument I learned was piano, and I wish there was a course similar to breakthrough guitar but for piano or drums, if anyone know of anything I would really appreciate finding out.

Thank you!

Truthfully, I'm not really sure. I got a drum set from my husband for Christmas. I first wanted to play drums, since I was a very small child and drove people nuts drumming on things. I always asked for a drum set, but my Mom said, "Girls don't play drums," and she would never let me get a set or even just one. lol Eventually, I gave up on that dream, but I helped my youngest son realize that he had a bent for drums. He asked for a guitar first. He got one and lessons, but after a bit, I also got him drums and a teacher. He wound up falling in love with drums and was really good and played in the church youth band, adult music, and with others in local band groups. I kept pushing down the temptation to sneak on his. lol Hubby surprised me, so I have been trying hard to learn things the right way. I did find that certain common beats I could do naturally and had fun drumming from the first moment, but I really want to make sure I do it the right way. I have found some lessons on YouTube about paradiddles and the basics which I have been following. The only pay one that I have been researching that might look ok is Drumeo, but I can't say for certain. I haven't pulled the trigger, yet. I am still trying to make sure I can afford everything I want to do here. lol My disability check doesn't go too far. 🙂

Maybe check out Drumeo, but if you find something good, pop back here and let me know, too, please!

Not sure of any specifics. So many other instruments & techniques probably vary. Maybe you should try Pinterest site on the web. There's a lot of theory there for Piano and the like. But beware once they've got your details they tend to inundate you with information on many unrelated subjects. Lots of regular daily deletion to do.
