Live Practice w/ Ryan

Sivad

Question

I hope it is cool for me to post this here as I have not found a more suitable place. It would be great to have a dedicated place to discuss the Live Practice sessions in the future if they are to continue.

I am very sorry that I could not attend live because it was amazing even recorded.

Had I been there live I would have asked you about metronome practice. Specifically, sixteenth note practice. Are you still playing one note per click or four?

@Ryan Withrow I got my BTG mugs, bro! You are so right! They are great mugs and everyone should have one. I will be doing my level best attend any live practice in the future. It is a topic of great interest to me and it was fantastic to watch a pro in action. It gave me a greater sense of confidence that I am indeed on the right path regarding my approach to practice. Keep up the amazing work. Thanks for everything!

Hey @Sivad thanks for bringing this up!

We actually have already had a forum that we created when we started last week Found Here.

If you look at the forum, in general, you can find it in the BGTV section.

I'd love for you to share any discussion there, as well as your thoughts during and/or after today's session. The more who watch and post, the more we can do it!

Here's today's post:

Ha! Excellent!!!

I'll be on tomorrow as well, but for now (and this is MY personal preference as your's can certainly be different), I typically START new exercises with the click as an 8th note. Thus, I play 16ths, but it's still just every other click. Once I get that sucker up to a nice speed, I'll reduce the metronome click and start focusing on quarter note clicks with 16th notes.

Hope that helps!
Ryan
