Question

I have been playing guitar for most of my life ,51 now . And i i'm ready to unlock the key to the fret board . I think i'm stuck in a rut right now.

I can create some great music but still struggle with the complete picture . I there a certain order to do the lessons ? Ive been jumping around to one's that seem interesting. This is probably not the best approach. Any help to reach my goal is appreciated.

You might want to start by reading "HOW TO GET UNSTUCK" also you might want to go back to some of the foundational courses and review them. I still find myself going back to them during my warmups during practice just to keep them fresh in my mind.

Suggestion consider fretboard as 3 sets of 2string scales An A note always has 2frets to B then C.  Then shift 1 string over you've got D with 2frets to E then F. So once you've established note patt'n for a song. You can play Octaves in many positions that suits your feeling, gives u ABCDEF.  6 of the 7 notes. Of course if u play a patt'n between B&G strings take care for warp zone.

so fretboard can become alphabetically easier to get your head around & use. Just a little nugget we all learn or realize new bits all the time.
