Hi Guitar Players

Well I decided to climb back into the perverbal guitar seat again. I started playing back in the 80's when I was 18 and took lessons with a guitar teacher that pushed classical rock guitar. Yes, the Yngwie Malmsteen era when all guitar players thought that was the way, tell you what it made me hate that guy. I was more into Metallica and Queen etc. So I stopped taking lessons and wasting my money to learn horrid neo-classical rock metal or what ever you would like to call it. Don't get me wrong I don't hate the genre it has its place but it wasn't for me and what I thought I wanted to play. Then I got side tracked with life and joined the Army and served out my career there which put a lot of guitar practicing on hold due to real world deployments after 9/11. I then got back into playing guitar once again and knocked off the dust but just like Jonathan said I didn't have a structure I bought tons of books, video's, Guitar Player magazines, and lost many hours of useless crap on YouTube which took me in all different directions. I stumbled onto Jonathans program with doubts at first because I have heard the narratives before with courses I have taken etc. But once I joined and looked at the materials I was like holy crap this makes more sense then all the years I have wasted searching for the holy grail of guitar knowledge.

I look forward in corresponding with all of you on this awesome journey.
