Alan Desmond
Good question, you need to ask admin, in my opinion it doesn't really matter. Just do your dexterity, enjoy the learning process. Practice practice so you satisfy the desire you probably have to be a competent player at what ever level suits you and don't worry about the heirachy that's been introduced.

Alan Desmond
Hi Fred & other BTG members who like Blues. I received the attached lick thro mail, thought i'd share. It's in G. In my warm up I often play a 12 bar blues usually in A so thought I'd shift pattern down 2 frets and play through pattern in G then add this on the end. Sounds OK but need to mess with it some more to optimize results. I'll attached sheet from web and my work sheet. Also a set of chords if anyone needs a 12bar format.
Alan Desmond
I often find the triangular pattern for the 1st position A chord much easier to make than conventional and it's then a real easy move to the E7. For anyone who's not so good on chord changes, suggest give it a try
