Genonclt
Hello everyone, I am so glad to be here beginning my guitar journey. I turned 60 two weeks ago and decided it was time to learn the guitar. I have always wanted to learn but have let life put it on the back burner. No more! Since I am a true beginner, I have a few goals to keep me motivated. Short term, I hope I can learn enough to go begin to jam a little with one of my friends. I hope to be able to play a short set of songs to my family/friends at the end of a year (Next Feb 1, 2024) and then progress to playing solo gigs at local venues by the time I retire (5 years?) the ultimate dream is to play the Mucky Duck in Sanibel FL while on extended vacation with my wife. They are rebuilding now after the hurricane. So maybe in a few years it can happen. I am going to MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
