Justin K
My name is Justin Krull and I serve as a chaplain and worship band drummer in my church in Colorado Springs, CO. I had guitars as a teenager, but could never get a clue as to what was going on or how to manipulate my fingers. So, at 16 years of age, I began my drumming career, which has spanned over thirty years now! I have had several guitars over my lifetime. I'd buy one and play around with it a couple of days and then it would sit for months or years, so I'd pawn them off for more drum equipment! I also still had a burning desire to learn how to play guitar. I have learned more on Breakthrough Guitar in two weeks than I have in my entire life, which includes the year I spent in university studying music performance and theory! I am actually able to play along with the backing tracks and it generally sounds pretty darn good, if I must say so myself! In the future, I see myself writing songs. My dream would be to play in our church and during the praise and worship part of the service, I would start on drums and them exchange places with the guitarist. If you're old enough, think of the tv performances of Barbara Mandrell and her family switching instruments during their show. Being a multi-instrumentalist has been a life long dream and aspiration of mine. I believe with my whole heart that Breakthrough Guitar is going to make my dreams come true! JImW
Welcome Justin. I have always wanted to learn to play drums. Ever since I was 8 years old and saw Mickey Dolenz, i have dreamed of playing drums. Just never got around to it. Guitar will be a new challenge for you, but I bet you have the rhythm down. Good luck.
