Fred Soukup
Hello guys I found out that it starts in D major and progresses from there. Still working on it but at least it is a start.

Still working on it but at least it is a start. It almost sounds like he is tuned a bit sharp. D needs to be bent a bit to match that note. But it doesn't seem to be a D# Checked to make sure I was in tune twice. Tried every search I could think of and didn't find anything. Love the tune though. Fred Soukup
Was written and performed by Bob Stanley in the mid 80's
J.D.
Was thinking more about this. I wonder if the recording was sped up without retaining pitch. Since it is a pretty quick tune that could account for it being a little bit sharp. I’m going to check out the song more.
John Long
Hey Fred. I believe if you shift the tuning to D, The chords are D, B,C, D. Then at the turn-around he goes to the A chord and back to D. It seems to all be in the key of D Major, so you might be able to pick out the notes on our D Major scale patterns we are learning.
davidlarew
DGA Bm I was guessing 145 6m in D, too. Em, F#m, as relative minors, too? Nice pickin'

JB240
Listen to the tune with guitar in hand. Fret different notes on the low E until one fits. You just found the key of the tune. Now you need to figure out chords.
