DHosinsk01
Hello, I’ve been with Breakthrough guitar for several months now. I started playing the guitar in May of 2020. I’m still new to most things, but I’m trying to learn as many basics and guitar theory as I can. I look forward to chatting with everyone. Austin Carter
Welcome @DHosinsk01! What prompted you to start playing in May of last year? And how has the journey been so far?
Glenn Gay
Hello @DHosinsk01 - great to hear your making progress. I just love the platform. I've been a member for a while now, and I tend to go back to the basics quite often. There are so many little things to pay attention to when you are first starting out, it's great to go back and get that refresher 🤘 I hope you are enjoying your membership here, and if you ever need any advice or support, just post your question in here and there are lots of other members just like yourself ready and willing to help you progress. All the best to you my friend, and hopefully we can chat again soon Glenn

And how has the journey been so far? Hello Austin, honestly the thought of playing the guitar has always intrigued me. I just never acted on it because I’m an active person. I usually find something to fill my time. When COVID hit we were all locked down. My son actually got the idea first and I thought it might be a good way to spend some time with him. So I picked up a guitar. My first one was a Martin acoustic. I’ve tried a couple of other web based guitar lessons. After I finished the basic lessons. I found myself wanting more but I felt like I was left standing with some very limited skills and still had no idea where to even beg8n looking next. Then I found Breakthrough Guitar. Right away I was intrigued. I was learning. I enjoy the smallest lessons. It has been great so far. My only concern is, I want to keep progressing. I am currently working on the “Playing Chord’s Anywhere Along the Fretboard.” I’m about 85%of the way through it. I’m pretty confident with the progressions, just not very fast. I alternate the lessons with playing some tabs. Mostly riffs. I really want to start taking off. I’m praying something clicks for me soon.
