Breakthrough Guitar
Many of the greatest guitar solos fall into the Blues Genre. On our last poll many of the names voted for and commented on where all once involved with playing Blues. The origin of Blues music came from the southern states after the civil war in 1861. Those who followed the music were field hollers, show music, and what was known as ragtime. During the Great Depression Blues music became a more sophisticated style of music. The most modern style of Blues can heard in songs like "Way down We Go" by Kaleo, and "Blues for Antone" by Kirk Fletcher. Who do you think left the greatest mark for Blues Guitarists? John Long
My reply is for electric blues and not all the great original innovators - The 3 Kings - Freddie, Albert, and B.B.
