I was wondering if you are playing in a minor key for example “Am” You would usually go start with the 6th pattern on the Anote(or fifth fret of the low E string). If you use a mode, like Phrygian (mode 3). Would you start 3 patterns up from the 6th pattern(on the fifth fret/ A note) or would you just start with the 3rd pattern on the A note instead since it’s a mode that is minor?
