Jim Cavanaugh
I didn’t start playing guitar until I was 42. I am now 54 and not 1/2 as good as I’d thought I’d be. It’s been a great mid-life crisis but I feel like I’m stuck. My leads sound like 2 wild street cats fighting in a dumpster for some scraps of food. I did start a band a few years ago because I wanted to play live music in front of people before I died. Just looking to be comfortable all on the neck as Jonathan describes. Looking for some breakout moments and being comfortable when playing. 1
Austin Carter
Welcome to the forum @Jim Cavanaugh. I'm excited to have you join the group and that you chose Breakthrough Guitar to help you reach that live performance goal you have. Let's make it happen! moodoggie53
Jim! One thing I have discovered: when you discover something you love: DO IT AS MUCH AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN! There are rampant stories of Hendrix or Joe Pass or Duane waking up with the guitar in their hands. Best dreams I ever had!
