Hey From Shaan

Most will know me from the Facebook group. I started playing when I was 16 and learnt classical. Spent many years playing basic standard tunes and had dreams of playing electric. Fast forward I’ve been taught by John Mizarolli who’s regarded as one of the top guitar teachers here in the UK. I’ve been told I have a unique gift on the guitar  from the many teachers I’ve come across over the years which helps in some ways and other times is quite frustrating. After a turbulent relationship with the guitar I’m starting from the beginning and going through BTG. So far I’ve been much more relaxed and free and more structured in my playing. Still a journey ahead and much to learn. My dream is to be great and a real innovator and be a force of positive change in the world. I’d love to build an academy where talent like mine gets the right nurture and guidance and where you get free accommodation and meals and be free to study and develop and build lifelong connections with other artists to grow and expand musically. I find it exciting to see some of the female guitarists out there just smashing it. I love that aspect of things. It doesn’t matter what your goal is or your age. Music doesn’t discriminate. For Videos on me just search my name Shaan White in the Facebook group and you’ll see my recent exploits😂🎸

Hey there Shaan!

I was beginning to wonder when you'd hop on over here.

I am so sure that you're going to have fun here, and for everything we plan to do in time as we continue to expand.

Have a great weekend, can't wait to hear more of your music 🎸🤘😁

To be honest I’ve always felt lost and abandoned on forums. Funnily enough it’s seeing others here and the engagement that shifted things for me. The final push was seeing a beautiful JP model Guitar and my wanting to comment on it. Currently vacationing in the Lake District which is a rather hilly part of the UK but missing the guitar. Look forward to getting some videos up when I get back. Hope the team are well👍🎸

@Shaan Welcome to the forum! And thanks for mentioning that you've always felt lost and abandoned on the forums. I've had similar experiences in the past and then something switched for me to fall in love with the medium for community. I'm happy to have this forum launch and I think it's going to do wonders for everyone to be able to hold community, help each other, share breakthroughs, find their breakthroughs, etc. I want to help make sure you don't feel lost and abanonded on this forum. If, for some reason, you ever do feel that way, message me! Because I'll want to remedy it and that feedback will help strengthen any shortcomings and prevent it from happening again to you or to others. I'm all ears on feedback and each student's experience.

As a side note, I absolutely loved your introduction and your dream seems like a dream worth living for. We have a big vision for how Breakthrough Guitar is going to be a force for positive change in the world. It sounds like we have some aligned visions and it's going to be a blast to reach them together.

@Austin. Thank you so much. This is what BTG do so different in that’s there’s real genuine care and attention throughout the whole process which i absolutely love. I very much look forward to working with BTG and we’ll certainly have a blast. I really passionately believe that the world right now needs to come together and there’s so much universal understanding through music. Here in the UK there’s the embryonic stages of a movement for better protection for women and hopefully a more refined way we as a society treat women. Music comes in there as a way to express and with a great following really starts to get the conversation started. I’m not there in being able to express myself but I do imagine what that would be like. My main blocks right now is just linking the major scales in a way where they flow automatically and I can just seamlessly flow along the fretboard and play freely as easy as tying my shoelaces; I look forward to that moment👍🎸
