Luis Marcelo Posted March 2, 2022 Share Posted March 2, 2022 Hello All, My name is Luis Marcelo and I’m very happy to have just joined the Breakthrough Guitar community. I’m 57 and I started playing classical guitar when I was 4. I feel that playing guitar is a journey without end for me, there’s always more to learn, more to listen, more to understand, and most importantly, more to play! And so I am here, to humbly continue this wonderful, amazing journey. I still play classical guitar, but since my early teens I’ve been mainly an electric player, exploring as many genres as I can. I’ve been very fortunate in that I owe so much to the guitar. I met my wife when I was 10, when her brother and I formed our first band. I don’t know that we would have ended up together if it weren’t for the guitar. Teaching, performing, and being a studio musician helped put me through school and let me see the world. I am so thankful. Well, if I had a magic wand, I would love to be able to play to my best ability until my final days. My ultimate dream is to continue to learn to make my playing better while learning from everyone and everything that enters my life, whether it’s my students or my bartender. I would also like to improve my focus, as I currently have absolutely no idea what I’m going to play when I pick up the guitar for fun, everyday playing. I just start off the top of my head with no plan, and after that I forget what I was playing and just move on to the next thing. I’ve taken to just try to record as much as I can so I can put some order to all these musical thoughts. I attached a file, forgive the mistakes please.
