In module 3 of guitar grid mastery we learned to play in a minor key by linking major scale pattern 1 with the pentatonic scale. In an email from Jonathan last week, the suggested backing track was ' powerful folk in b minor'. I found that I hit more notes that sounded good by using major scale pattern 2 along with scale pattern 1 on that particular song, rather than just pattern 1. Is that an example of how to start to connect the different scale patterns, or was I just doing "whatever works"?
